In October 2024, Level Up hosted a Transformation Event at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool, with delegates from across Cheshire and Merseyside.
Throughout the day delegates heard from a wide range of speakers including Experts by Experience, the Parent Carer Forum, NHS England, the Level Up Commissioning Team and lead clinicians from across Cheshire and Merseyside.
Dr Fiona Pender, Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Commissioning Advisor for Level Up, said: "Our Transformation event was both inspiring and educational. We focused on hearing from our Experts by Experience about their transitions and insights from the Parent and Carer Forum.
"We also learned from NHS England about the New Model of Care for Tier 4 CAMHS. Not having the 18th birthday cut-off will help us provide more continuous care for young people and their families beyond the age of 18.
"To achieve this, we need to enhance collaboration across young people's services, adult services, and wider health and social care services to ensure seamless care for young people and their families."
Georgia, Level Up Expert by Experience Forum member said: "It was lovely to see everyone here today, and it was nice to see NHS England join us and learn about all of the achievements from the last year, and I'm looking forward to the future."
