We are delighted to invite you to our event which is showcasing short films that have been made by a local youth group – JIGSAW.

Community Champions Event Flyer

Level Up, Cheshire and Merseyside, Young People and Families, Lead Provider Collaborative, alongside CANDDID (Centre for Autism, Neurodevelopmental Disorders and Intellectual Disabilities), developed five co-produced educational films with:

  • Young people from Jigsaw and the team from Cheshire East youth support service
  • Young Carers
  • Parent Carers/Cheshire East Parent Carer Forum
  • CWP Children and Young People Urgent Support Team
  • Phil Morris, Director of Specialist Communication Techniques

Where : Gateway, 85-101 Sankey Street, Warrington, Cheshire, WA1 1SR. 

Parking is available:  

  • Town Hall Car Park: WA1 1UH, Opposite the Gateway this is the closest car park to the building. Parking is a maximum of 4 hours and is limited to 84 cars. 
  • Golden Square Car Park: WA1 1UZ, Golden Square has 2 car parks totalling 1700 spaces, Entrance to the multi story is off Midland Way A57 (most spaces). Street level parking is located in Legh Street.  

Timings : 10:00 – 2:00pm

The films examine various techniques for preventing and managing a crisis from the perspective of young children themselves, parent carers, young carers, clinicians, and a communication specialist.

The films have been funded by NHS England and have also been nominated for a Parliamentary Award.

We also are sharing with you our Health Care Passport (HCP) for Eating Disorders which has been produced by our expert by experience volunteers for EmpowerED. This document is helpful within a clinical setting so that a service user doesn’t have to repeat their diagnosis, medicines etc

Finally, Warrington HealthWatch are sharing for the first time their new Awareness card, which is designed to empower individuals with lived experience of trauma. This allows health and social care organisations to provide the necessary care without requiring individuals to repeatedly share their stories
